Dimmers are devices that decrease the power supplied to lighting instruments, reducing the intensity. Dimmers are generally controlled by an operator at a control board. Dimmers vary based on the output wattage and the number of individual dimmers in a pack or system. Shoe box dimmers are aptly named due to their size and can operate from a household Edison outlet. Larger dimmers require more amperage, so special power distribution may be needed. Our pack and rack dimmers range from 2,400 watts to 12,000 watts capacity.
